The temperatures here have been in the minus degrees for days, so I have had to endure water torture 24 hours a day.
When temperatures are below freezing, we have to keep the water dripping to help keep the pipes from freezing.
Drip. . . Drip. . . Drip. . . Drip. . . Drip. . .
hour after hour after hour!
day after day after day!
Hearing the dripping water hitting the stainless steel sinks is absolute, bone-grinding, head piercing torture. It’s inhumane!
Putting a sponge under the drips helped mute the sound a bit –
Thank goodness!!
But I could still hear the water running out of the faucet and thudding – ever so slightly but still constant – on the sponge.
Plus, every time I wanted to use the faucets, I would have to readjust the water – a real pain in the neck!
But – Hurray! – Temperatures in the daytime are now above freezing, so I can at least turn off the faucets during the day.
Of course, there are still the nights –
Drip. . . Drip. . . Drip. . . Drip. . . Drip. . .
Fortunately we don’t have to do that, it would drive me up the wall.
Take care.
I’m so glad you don’t have to. It is yucky!
Hi Dawn….that must be dreadful.
I am intrigued…you appear to have an electric point right next to your tap.
Isn’t that dangerous?
What do you use it for???
It is dreadful! But I must carry on as the mature adult that I am. Yeah – right!
The plate you see is the switch for the garbage disposal under the sink. It’s not an open electric plug.
Oh my, would drive me insane too!
Doesn’t affect me. . . affect me. . . affect me. . . 🙂
That would explain why you’re batty now….but what about before?!?!?! LOLOLOL
Oh, thanks a lot “friend”! HeeHeeHee
