Windy Snow – Poem
Snow blows to the left;
Snow blows to the right.
The snow has been falling and blowing all night.
It’s colder than heck –
Below 10 degrees.
Try breathing outside – you’ll just drop to your knees.
Wind cuts like a knife –
Puts me in a coma.
I’m ready for summer to warm Oklahoma.
–Dawn Cawthon Behrens
Freeeeeeeeezing… Hope you are keeping warm!
I’m trying to keep warm! So far, so good. 🙂
Oh my, that sure does look cold!
(What are the ‘bucket’ things in the foreground?)
It is cold! The bucket things are flower pots where I plant flowers when it’s warmer.
Thanks, I gathered that from your latest post 🙂
I thought they might have been bollards to prevent people from driving into your lounge :O
Now, that’s an idea. I’m afraid a car would just smash right over them if it went awry – they’re just plastic. 🙂
All I can say is BRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
I agree!!! I’m wearing my thermal underwear. 🙂
I’ve been seeing on TV how you and many other places and states are getting socked with this monster storm. For once, this winter, a big storm is going to bypass the mountains of North Carolina! We’ve had a lot of snow and very cold weather since November. Hope you get through this one OK, and can keep warm, and your power stays on! I’ll be thinking about you!
Power is still on so far. Hurray! At least we haven’t had the amount of yucky weather in Oklahoma that so many other places have suffered. That is a blessing. 🙂
