I Need to Clean

Blogging is ruining my life!

Not really.  I am having such a good time with the whole blogging thing.  After all, where else can I say what I want – when I want – for as long as I want – and no one can interrupt me or look bored or text on their cell phone (while I am talking – thank you very much! – Well – at least, if they text while reading the blog, I can’t see them.)  or ridicule what I say  (Uh, they can do that in comments.)  or just get up and walk away from me?  (Actually, they can get up and walk away from the computer or just click on something else.  But, again, I can’t see them!)

The problem (or, at least, one problem) is that I have been so busy blogging during hours when I’m not working that there is stuff all over my house that should have been cleaned up already.  Oooops!  And before I started blogging, it usually was.

Now, I’m not saying that I am a neat freak or even a really good housekeeper.  But I do generally try to keep the place at least tidy enough so that I can walk across a room or sit at the dining table to eat or even cook in my kitchen (Well – sometimes on the cooking thing.  See my favorite cake recipe on my post “April-Worst & Best”).

I realized when I took my lunch break from working that I was in trouble because I had to move things around in the kitchen and on the table before I could eat.  That’s a major problem because “I have to eat” – no matter what.  But did the stuff get put away when I was fixing lunch?  No!  It just got moved somewhere else.  After all, I needed to fill my mouth (and stomach) quickly so I could get back to work so I could finish work so I could get back to blogging.  Duh!

I’m afraid there are still toys on the living room floor from 2nd Grandson’s last visit.

And I still have various objects on the kitchen counter from the last meal – or the meal before that – or the meal before that. . .   Hmmmmm.  I think I see a couple of toy plastic food items from 2nd Grandson’s visit.

And there is still trip paraphernalia on the dining room table from a recent overnight jaunt to 1st Daughter’s house for 1st Granddaughter’s dance recital and then piano recital (a full and delightful visit!).

Yes, those are clothes laid over the dining room chair.  I know – I should have just walked straight from the car into the bedroom with them and hung them in the closet.

But then, you haven’t seen the bedroom!  I didn’t take pictures of that – You’re welcome, America.

Obviously, blogging is taking over my life.  Oh, well.  Now that I’ve finished this post I can get to the cleaning.

Wait!!  I just thought of an idea for another post! . . .
